Homesteading Must Do 1ST ( part 1, 2, & 3 )
Are you thinking about homesteading.
It's important for your well-being that you understand, what you are are about to get yourself into.
2nd don't believe everything you see and hear on YouTube.
Some of them Youtubers just want your time, Which is their money.
3rd practice first.
Now lets go over the checklist you just read.
(1) understand your well-being
Which mean you must know yourself.
Do you give up at a drop of a dime?
Do you have to call someone every time for help?
Do you get mad and unset easy?
Do you understand if your answers is yes, You may want to rethink about the changes.
Don't get me wrong homesteading isn't hard
It's only hard when you don't understand the assignment of oneself.
(2) Just because it look real, don't mean it is.
Have you been watching Youtubers
Some say it's hard work
Some say it's easy
Some will say they love the way they are living
Please take half of what any of them are saying is half truth
So if they are trying to give you a dollar
Just take the fifty cent
Because you did get something out of it
If you watch it
Just understand no one is showing or telling the whole truth
They edit that part out.
(3) practice
I don't care where you living.
You can practice growing your own food.
I mean there's not much to say but practice
Bonus
Thinking about going off grid
Get yourself a camper
I say camper because you don't need insurance.
Your insurance come in, when you hook it up to your vehicle.
However, you have buses and vans.
Whichever one you choose
practice
Living in it, for a year or two
This way
You will see, what you are getting yourself into.
When the season change, learn to change with it.
Your practice will come in,
With making your living space better
Because once you living in it, you understand what need to be done.
So, you can living better.
which mean before you get to your land you have some big unknowns situation out the way.
That's your living space from season to season, make sure you are comfortable.
As large as it is needed
and for some as wanted
Please understand make sure your needs are always 1st.
Now go practice the 1,2,3's above
& don't come back till it's done
I'll place some of my preferred video before others
So you can understand your practice
I know you understand your 1st must do is to know yourself and practice before leaving your living situation you have now.
Part 2
Ok, ok, if you are reading this part. I know you readed and did part 1.
If you didn't, you just don't want to learn, and I can't help you. So bye now.
However, if you did everything from part 1, you lived, and you learned.
Or maybe you just jump right on your land but don't know what to do next.
So, lets get into it.
The 1st thing I will be doing when I get my land is
(1) Removing any trees that need to be moved.
(2) Property line, I will use paint, flags, lights, and signs.
(3) Will be my foundation, placement of everything,
(4) out house
(5) water
(6) power
(7) garden
(8) chickens
(9) Any other animals
Now, let's go over the checklist and the why's.
1. There's no need to put all your stuff on the property. Till you know, the land is cleared . Think about it you put your solar panels, camper, or bus on the property, then one day the wind blows in the tree fall.
How are you going to feel.
Like you took some steps backward.
Let's move forward
2. Your property line is important because you do not want anyone coming on to your property
Let it be known that it is your property. You are the new owner, and you are the new King, the new Queen. Plain and simple, it's your s***
Let it be known
3. Learn your land, and make sure you put everything exactly where you want it.
You do not want to place it where there's going to be a flood when it rains. Place your living space at the highest spot. Why, you may ask? Water does not go up. Water goes down, which means when it rain,
You will not be walking in a puddle of water.
However, make sure the land is flat. Because your animals do not want to be walking around in water. Plus, your vegetables are not that thirsty.
4. out of the house is always good, because that's less dirty going in your living space, from you working outdoors. which means less cleaning up behind yourself. Last, you will always have somewhere to go. Whatever lifestyle you will life, mother nature will knock one day.
5. water, because your life will run dam good with it. You don't need power, but you will need water. From clothing need wash, dishes, yourself, garden, and animals. Let's not forget about your tools and vehicles. Plus, them hands of yours. Water is a must.
6. More power is always best. So add just one thing more. To help with the work around the homestead. Now, you can use your vehicle for a generator. Ill teach you that, a different day. If you don't know how. But you do have YouTube.
7. Get your garden up and going. Because it will take time. Plus, it's your food for you and your animals.
8. Chickens 1st because you get 5 things from them
1 eggs
2 meat
3 clean up the bugs on the property
4 Fertilizer
5 money from sell any of the 4
9. By the time you can make it here, you should have a routine. So. Add a new animal or animals. You know what you can do and can not do. So do not go crazy.
Now, dont think its over because you did the checklist.
The checklist just made things easy.
However, your life list on your homestead will keep going and going, and it will be up to you to make your list for your homestead.
Come back for part 3 when you are done with this list.
Understand each part is likely a year or 2 of your life
Part 3
If you did part 1 and 2
There is only one thing for you to do
That is to be you
Plan where you want everything on your land
Dont forget to be safe
Make things safe
One day someone will try to come and take what is yours
Think bigger and more for water
Well and Rain water
hand pump
&
solar pump
Your power
Wind
Sun
car alternator
&
generators of all kinds
Master what you have
Be the Master & Student
