Don't Get Ready Stay Ready

 If you are new to me. ( Neoconda Oshun ) Aka { Mrs. NO } The thing you must understand is I jump right into whatever I'm saying. 

With that being said, let's jump. 

Stay ready, if you are asking how. 

Here is the how, the when, and the why. 

Whatever season you are in, you need to get ready for the next season. If it's summer time, you need to get ready for winter. If it winter you need to get ready for the summer. 

How you ask, if it's winter time now for you. Clean your AC(s) clean your fan(s) get your water bottles up. Water tank(s) filled. Need water to cool off. If you have animals they need more water in the summer time then the winter time. Summer seeds, get them started to get a jump on summer garden. Beat the bugs. Mean more harvest for you. From canning food and freezing food. You know when winter comes you have food. Everything that need to be done for the summer, do it in the winter time. Giving yourself less work in the summer time. You can focus on putting all your plumbing in the ground just a little deeper. So your water don't freeze and pipes don't break. 

The same, if it is summer time for you now. Get your 🪵 🪓 up. The more you have is always better and that one less thing you have to do in the winter time. Plus you will always be warm. Get your gas tanks filled. If you have a heater that runs on gas. Now I know the 4th of July you are going to want to use that gas for grilling them hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. Have yourself at least 3 tanks just for winter. Plus the one for your grilling. That's 4 tanks.

 Better safe than sorry, you can always warm up without staying ready, just mean you will have to burn something you love. However trying to cool down. If your not ready could end up with your heat stroke. Lost of food and animals plus more.

This how you know what to do. Look around you, whatever season it is. Did you have to stop everything to go fix something because it was to hot or too cold. Do the animals water keep freezing and you have to keep breaking the ice. When summer time come you make a plan to get to stop. How you ask, moving water don't freeze. Add a heater to keep it warm. Do it in the summer to dig and place that wire under ground. Keeping everything neat and safe. Plus if you add that on and off switch. All you have to do when winter comes is hit the switch and just feed the animals. No more breaking up ice. One less job for winter.

Keep your homestead safe and easy. You shouldn't be working for your homestead. Your homestead should be working for you.
